The Inn at Chesapeake Bay Beach Club
A look back at the wedding day for Ashley & Jessica from Dave McIntosh Photographics, Baltimore wedding photography and videography.
The air was clear in October for Ashley & Jessica’s wedding at the Inn at Chesapeake Bay Beach Club. The Inn is nestled between the Chesapeake Bay, Route 50 and the Bay Bridge https://www.baybeachclub.com/the-inn. Ashley remarked, “We chose the Inn because it is quaint and beautiful. It has fire places with mantles, an outdoor fire pit. The rooms at the Inn had the perfect feel for our fall theme. They even had fall decor with pumpkins set out. We also thought the staff was so warm and inviting, and Samantha was especially easy to work with and made it fun too!”
Ashley and Jessica live near Stevensville, so the Inn is practically in their backyard. The wedding preparations, the ceremony and reception were all located at The Inn, which made the day more laid back for us on the photo / video team. We unpacked and set up one time for the day.
Inspired by ‘The Notebook’, Ashley wrote Jess a love letter each day for 365 days in a journal. On wedding day 2 journals containing the love letters were given to Jessica during final preparations.
Ashley and Jessica chose Laura Cannon to marry them. https://ceremonyofficiants.com/our-team/rev-laura-c-cannon/ They knew Laura from other family events. Laura is one of my favorite officiants. The ceremony was genuine, heartfelt, and beautiful. Laura tailored the ceremony to reflect the deep love and respect Ashley and Jessica have for each other.
After the ceremony, we visited outdoor inn locations for the group photos and some artistic couple photos. Dan, Jason and I had a blast working together with this laid back couple. Ashley said, “We really enjoyed working with you and your crew. Everyone was so nice, patient, and got great shots and video! It was a stressful yet amazing day, and we needed a lot of direction and we appreciate your professionalism and kindness.”
