A look at the wedding day of Bahar & Ali from Dave McIntosh Photographics, Baltimore wedding photography and videography.
Bahar and Ali celebrated with a Persian wedding at Tabrizi’s at the Baltimore Harbor. It was a bright and windy spring day. Bahar is quite a good planner, and she made allowance for the wind by wearing her hair in a tight bun.
Photography is very important to Bahar, so we planned and allowed plenty of time to get some great romantic photos before the ceremony. Both Bahar and Ali had their preparations and first look at the Royal Sonesta Baltimore Harbor Court. We visited nearby Federal Hill Park and took photos, both with the trees, then the iconic view of the Baltimore skyline in the background. After 30 minutes at the park, we traveled a short distance to Tabrizis and got some great photos and video clips of just the two of them for 30 minutes. Soon the families and friends arrived, and we transitioned into the formal group photos. Bahar was great at helping us keep everyone focused. The immediate family and friends’ group photography was taken before the ceremony. This allowed the couple to enjoy the cocktail hour with friends and family.

The wedding ceremony was held outside Tabrizi’s next to the harbor. The Sofreh Aghd was amazing with lots of personal and traditional details. My photos below show both the table and a couple close ups of the decorations. The 45 minute ceremony allowed me and my second shooter Jason plenty of time to get good candids of the rituals. The only challenge was since it was a very sunny and windy day we needed to be careful the subjects were not in shadow. (continued below)
The cocktail hour was outside at the ceremony site and the reception was in Tabrizi’s indoor event space. The table decor and cake was tastefully done. Bahar and Ali made their grand appearance and first dance. It was sunset so we went outside for 15 minutes and took a few sunset photos. Jason and I had a good time trying to outdo each other I think we both got great photos. When I steal a couple away for sunset photos I always work quickly because I realize the guests came to celebrate with the couple. Back inside the couple visited each table and toasted with their guests. The food at Tabrizi’s is always exceptional. The party began and never ended until the end of the reception. The deliverable to the couple was a documentary edit video, a highlight video, over 1000 gorgeous photos and a professional album. I am very happy this is a day they will never forget thanks to Dan, Jason and me. Bahar said “We are elated with everything and as my husband put it, if he could give Dave and his team a gold medal, he would!”
The accolades are appreciated but Bahar and Ali the gold medal goes to you. Great emotional content helps me to deliver great photos and video and you delivered. You prepared, allowed adequate time for photos and enjoyed each other and stayed in the moment. That is all I can ask for.
