A look at the wedding day of Meghan & Rob from Dave McIntosh Photographics, Baltimore wedding photography and videography.
Meghan (Molly) & Rob are both schoolteachers. They met teaching and have known each other for several years. Their preparations and reception were at the Royal Sonesta Harbor Court in Baltimore. The wedding ceremony was held at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church in Baltimore.
Molly and Rob found me through a mutual friend, Beth Laverick of BScene Events, an event planner with whom I have worked for many years.
Rob is from Pittsburgh and you could see the Pittsburgh influence on full display, including a table of cookies imported directly from the steel city (photo below)
Molly and Rob are all about having a fun event that celebrated with their family. Together we planned the wedding day timeline and the group photos. They had preparations and a first look on the grand stairs at the Royal Sonesta. We took some group photos at Royal Sonesta and the Inner Harbor. The ceremony at our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church went off just as planned. The only thing not planned was the sun was really harsh in the inner harbor area after the ceremony. Getting great shots near the water can be tricky because of the angle of the sun and reflections with the water. We got the group shots needed, but I recommended Jason my second shooter and I photograph their portraits later during the reception when the sun was not as harsh. They were open to my suggestion, so we did exactly that. We took 15 minutes when everyone was eating. I was very happy with their portraits taken during golden hour.
Energy built slowly but surely throughout the reception and almost everyone stayed to the very last song. We took some large group photos outside the ballroom, but everyone celebrated with this fun loving couple.
Rob showed off his Phys Ed skills twirling Molly during the last dance. Molly’s smile was non-stop. I challenge you to find a photo with her when she was not smiling. I am so happy Beth connected us. Their wedding was such a blessed and enjoyable day.
